ED Registered Nurse Job in Duncan, OK

Duncan Regional Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for its Emergency Department. This is a night shift position working three 12-hour shifts per week, with every other weekend required. The assignment runs for 91 days, beginning November 5, 2026, at a weekly rate of $1,818.

Position Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of emergency room nursing experience
• Travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers are not accepted
• Oklahoma or compact nursing license
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS certifications and completion of a De-escalation course (CPI)
• Meditech charting system experience preferred
• Trauma Level I or II facility experience preferred

Clinical Responsibilities

You will manage patient ratios of 1:2–3 with a maximum of 4 patients. You will triage and treat patients of all ages, from neonates through geriatrics, including chest pain, lacerations, trauma, stroke, psychiatric evaluations, abdominal emergencies, pediatric fever and upper respiratory infections, ear infections, orthopedic injuries, and respiratory emergencies.

Your clinical skills will include arterial line management, BiPAP and CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care and management, continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, interpretation of dysrhythmias and arterial blood gases, phlebotomy, triage, and starting and maintaining intravenous lines.

Facility and Support

You will work with Phillips monitors and Stryker beds. The facility provides interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, social services, phlebotomy, and interpretation services. You may float within your scope of practice to meet facility needs.
