ICU Registered Nurse Job in Wausau, WI

Opportunity:

RN - ICU Neuro

Job Details:

• 13-week contract with 12-hour day/night variable shifts
• Guaranteed 48 hours per week, except during holidays when unit is closed
• Float between Neuro Critical Care ICU and MSICU units with possible float to other critical care and inpatient units as needed
• Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation required
• No on-call or callback requirements; contract is eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours that can be taken in hour increments as needed
• Care for Neuro ICU patient population including Stroke, TBI, head injury, and Neurosurgery patients in an 8-bed Neuro unit
• Primary procedures include Neuro assessments and basic bedside ICU procedures such as line placement and intubation
• Neuro-specific procedures include bolt and drain bedside placements with Neurosurgery and future care for Neuro interventional patients
• Familiarity with EVDs and ICP monitoring required
• Experience as a Neuro Interventionalist is a plus
• Strong Neuro assessment skills required with Med/Surg ICU and/or Neuro ICU background
• Minimum 2 years of experience required with 1 travel assignment preferred
• EPIC charting experience required
• Required certifications: WI RN License, BLS (AHA or ARC), ACLS (AHA or ARC), and NIHSS
• Associate Degree or Certificate required
