Oncology RN Job in Richmond, VA

You will work as an RN on a 24-bed Oncology unit at CJW Medical - Johnston-Willis Campus in Richmond, VA. This is a travel position with a 91-day contract starting September 28, 2026.

Schedule and Compensation

• 3x12 night shifts: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 4 weekend days per scheduling period (Saturday and Sunday nights)
• Weekly pay: $2,016

Role Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care with a typical patient ratio of 5–6 patients per nurse
• Administer chemotherapy on the unit
• Document patient information using the Meditech electronic documentation system
• Communicate with staff, physicians, and patients via iMobile phones
• Participate in patient experience initiatives including whiteboard updates, bedside shift reports, hourly safety rounds, and key words at patient interactions
• Float to other units as needed per facility policy

Unit Support and Environment

• 2 PCTs (Patient Care Technicians) per shift to assist with patient care
• 1 unit secretary available during day shift

Requirements

• RN license (active in Virginia)
• Medical/Surgical nursing background required
• Chemotherapy administration competency
• Required dress code: Navy Blue
