CVOR Technologist Job in Paducah, Kentucky

Baptist Healthcare System, Inc. in Paducah, Kentucky is seeking a CVOR Technologist for a 26-week travel assignment. You will work Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with call every other night and every other weekend required.

About the Role

You will serve as the primary scrub person or assistant for cardiothoracic and vascular operative procedures. Your responsibilities include preparing instruments and supplies for scheduled cases, ensuring thorough sterilization, and maintaining the sterile field during case setup and throughout all procedures. You will pass instruments and assist the physician as needed, perform instrument, sponge, and sharps counts, and assist with patient draping and positioning alongside the circulating RN.

After each case, you will perform gross decontamination of instruments and coordinate their return to Central Sterile Processing. You must ensure the surgical suite is disinfected and fully stocked for the next procedure. You will alert the circulating nurse of any identified risks or variances from standard operating procedures.

You must be able to pass the following types of cases:

• Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG)
• Valve Repair and Replacement procedures (Aortic, Mitral, Tricuspid)
• Ascending Aortic and Thoracic Aortic Repairs
• Aortic Dissections
• Maze Procedures for Atrial Fibrillation
• Left Atrial Appendage Closure
• TAVR (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement)
• TEER/MitraClip Procedures
• Watchman Procedures
• Other catheter-based structural heart interventions
• Thoracotomies and VATS Procedures
• Lung Resections and Lobectomy
• Mediastinal Procedures
• Robotic CABG and Robotic Thoracotomies

You must be willing to assist in other specialties as needed.

Compensation and Assignment Details

This position offers $1,400 per week and runs for 184 days, beginning November 12, 2026.
