ED - Emergency Room

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts with options for 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM or 1:00 PM to 1:00 AM
• 6 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule
• No floating expectations
• No on-call responsibilities
• Holiday requirement of 1 major and 1 minor holiday
• 2+ years of emergency department experience required
• Experience in both adult and pediatric emergency care required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS
• TNCC certification preferred
• Epic EMR access required with ASAP module
• Care for a mixed adult and pediatric 24-care area with no separate pediatric zone
• Manage common diagnoses including STEMI, stroke, sepsis, sprains, sutures, and high acuity patients
• Manage ventilators and high flow oxygen as no respiratory therapy is available on unit
• Administer drips including routine vasopressors, insulin, and sedation
• Staffing ratios are 4:1 with potential to stretch to 5:1 during peak census
• Required dress code: Navy blue scrubs
