ED RN Job in Salem, VA

Lewisgale Medical Center VA is seeking an experienced RN for its 8-bed freestanding emergency department in Salem, VA. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning June 8, 2026, working 3 shifts of 12 hours on nights (7:00 PM–7:00 AM).

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to both high and low acuity emergency department patients
• Manage a patient ratio of 4:1
• Administer medications and perform lab work
• Care for critically ill patients as a core responsibility
• Work independently and collaboratively within the team
• Operate GE equipment and document in the Meditech EMR system

Staffing & Scheduling:

• Night shift typically includes 2 RNs
• 4 weekend shifts required per schedule
• No on-call or floating requirements

Required Certifications:

• ACLS, PALS, BLS, and TNCC
• ENPC certification preferred

Qualifications:

• Current RN license
• Emergency department nursing experience required
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Compensation & Details:

• Weekly pay: $1,971
• Assignment duration: 91 days
• Dress code: Navy blue scrubs
