Job Details:

• 13-week contract
• Night shift schedule
• 36 or 48 hours per week
• Weekends required; scheduled days will vary based on staffing needs
• Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed
• Every other holiday required
• Unable to approve time off around Labor Day
• Patient ratios: 4/5 for days, nights, and weekends
• Treats patient age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Daily census of 165 patients with 71 rooms/beds
• Patient diagnoses include Level I Trauma, Comprehensive Stroke, and Chest Pain (STEMI) Center
• Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary
• Must have either 1 year of Level 1 trauma facility experience or 2 years of Level 2 trauma facility experience out of at least 2 years of ER experience
• Experience with pediatric patients required (does not need to be in a dedicated pediatric ER)
• Epic charting system experience required
• BSN preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC (can submit with TNCC pending but must have before start)
• Virginia nursing license required (pending licenses accepted; must be in hand by the Wednesday before start date)
• Nursys verification required with submission
• References required
• Travelers must float within their scope of practice as needed
