ED - Emergency Room

Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

• 13-week contract
• Mid shift hours from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM
• 36 or 48 hours guaranteed per week
• Weekends required; scheduled days will vary based on staffing needs
• Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed
• Every other holiday required
• Unable to approve time off around Labor Day
• Maximum of 40 hours of pre-approved time off per 13-week contract
• Patient ratios of 4 to 5 across days, nights, and weekends
• Care for patient age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Experience with Level I Trauma, Comprehensive Stroke, and Chest Pain (STEMI) Center patient diagnoses required
• Minimum 2 years of emergency room experience required
• Must have either 1 year of Level 1 trauma facility experience or 2 years of Level 2 trauma facility experience
• Experience with pediatric patients required, though does not need to be from a dedicated pediatric ER
• Charting experience in Epic required
• BSN preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC (can submit with TNCC pending but must have before start date)
• Virginia nursing license required; pending licenses accepted but must be in hand by the Wednesday before start date
• Nursys verification required with submission
• References required
• Travelers must float within their scope of practice as needed
