Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Neuro

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
• Weekend hours as needed
• Block scheduling requests considered but never guaranteed
• No on-call requirements
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
• Must have charge experience or be willing to learn and take on charge duties
• Neuro and stroke experience highly preferred
• Patient population includes medical and surgical neuro patients: Parkinson's, stroke, lumbar, etc. - no trauma
• Patient ratio: 1:6 on a 17-bed unit
• Float requirements: will float to Med Surg and Progressive care units as needed
• Required certifications: BLS; NIH stroke scale (can be completed at orientation)
• Equipment: customary, including IV pumps
• EMR system: EPIC
• Scrub color: black
• Strong team communication skills, attentiveness, and caring approach to patient outcomes required
