Operating Room RN Job in Corpus Christi, TX

You will work as a full-time Registered Nurse in the Operating Room at CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Corpus Christi Shoreline. This position focuses on cardiovascular (open-heart) cases with the ability to support general OR operations as needed.

Schedule & Duration

• Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
• 5 days per week
• 91-day assignment
• Start date: June 29, 2026

What You Will Do

• Perform cardiovascular surgical cases and general OR support
• Practice independently, maintaining awareness of all relevant aspects of patient care situations
• Provide routine and complex nursing care with focus on long-range patient goals and plans
• Manage clinical contingencies and make appropriate assignments and delegations to other care providers
• Utilize the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation—for assigned patients
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols; monitor for side effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Texas or compact state
• BLS certification (AHA only)
• Minimum two years of CVOR and EPIC charting experience
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (preferred)

Compensation

• $2,491 per week
