PTA - Physical Therapist Assistant

Job Details:

• Monday through Friday schedule with no weekends unless making up hours when a holiday falls within the weekday schedule
• No on-call responsibilities
• 1 year of PTA experience required
• Long-term care (LTC) or skilled nursing facility (SNF) experience required
• Active Missouri PTA license required
• New graduates accepted if they have Level II experience (Level I observation experience not sufficient)
• Utilize evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions
• Provide rehabilitative, skilled and medically necessary treatment interventions under Physical Therapist supervision
• Administer various procedures including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of supportive devices
• Assess patient progress and communicate with supervising Physical Therapist to adjust treatments
• Document all regulatory and clinical information in electronic documentation system
• Accurately record treatment minutes for services provided
• Participate in required meetings including patient care conferences and rehabilitation meetings
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, and caregivers
• Supervise and support students under Physical Therapist guidance
• Adhere to APTA and state practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics
