Job Details:

• Varied work schedule with assignments in both the Emergency Department and Medical Surgical departments
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care for patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing practice standards
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs
• Review patient history, diagnostics, and laboratory data, reporting abnormal results to physicians and appropriate caregivers
• Formulate and implement individualized plans of care based on patient-specific needs, assessment data, and medical plan of care
• Coordinate, delegate, and supervise activities of the health care team to implement patient care plans
• Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching, revising care plans as needed
• Document assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation accurately and in a timely manner in the patient record
• Participate in unit or facility shared leadership and contribute to improvement of national nursing quality indicators
• Provide precepting and mentoring to support growth of other staff members
• May be required to lift up to 75 pounds and must be able to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently
• Must use standard precautions due to potential exposure to blood and bodily fluids
• Minimum one year of acute care experience as a Registered Nurse in the specialty area required, with experience within the past 12 months
• Required certifications: RN License (CA State Only), BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC
• Meal Waiver and Elder Abuse Forms must be completed and signed
• Bachelor's degree and professional certification preferred
