ICU - Intensive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work primarily within the Intensive Care Unit providing nursing care to critically ill patients
• Periodically float to ED, Med/Surg, or Pediatrics in case of low census
• Provide inpatient care and support in the 5-bed ICU to individuals of all ages and their families
• Perform after hours recovery of post-operative general surgery, pediatric, and OB patients as needed
• Perform a variety of responsible nursing care procedures requiring professional knowledge and consideration of specific patient conditions and treatments
• Work independently in completing assignments following doctors' orders, standards of care, nursing policies and procedures manuals, and hospital policies
• Minimum 3 years of prior ICU experience required
• Associate Degree in Nursing required
• Must hold a current valid unrestricted Professional Nursing License (RN) in any U.S. state, Puerto Rico, or U.S. territory
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA)
• PALS (AHA) must be completed within 6 months of hire
• Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) must be completed within 6 months of hire
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) must be completed within 6 months of hire
• Shared contractor housing provided - no pets or family members allowed
