Sterile Processing Tech - Sterile Processing Tech

Job Details:

• Work 3x12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, Friday through Sunday with holiday rotation
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks for guaranteed hours
• May be required to float or be permanently switched to CSC, Main, or West Campus to meet facility needs
• Minimum of three (3) years of sterile processing experience required
• Prior leadership experience required
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• Travel experience required
• First-time travelers not accepted
• Required certifications: CBSPD and/or CRCST HSPA
• Advanced certification (CIS, CER, CHL) preferred
• Familiarity with electronic instrument tracking systems preferred
• Experience with Neuro, GU, robotics, ENT, ortho, transplant, and GYN cases preferred
• Directly supervise Lead Technicians and Sterile Processing Technicians I, II, III, and Non-Certified Technicians across all SPD work areas including decontamination, prep/pack, sterilization, case carts, and sterile storage
• Provide daily staff assignments based on workload, case volume, and departmental priorities
• Oversee instrument tracking systems, documentation accuracy, and inventory control
• Coordinate daily SPD operations to meet surgical and procedural case demands
• Monitor tray turnaround times, instrument availability, and case cart readiness
• Troubleshoot equipment, instrument, and workflow issues in real time
• Ensure proper segregation of clean/dirty workflows and adherence to infection prevention practices
• Ensure compliance with AAMI ST79, AORN guidelines, CDC recommendations, and regulatory standards
• Audit tray assembly accuracy, count sheets, peel packs, and labeling requirements
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings related to instrumentation, workflow, and quality initiatives
• Perform decontamination and sterilization of instruments, medical supplies, and equipment
• Prepare instrument trays and equipment for sterilization processes
• Organize, store, and distribute instruments, trays, and equipment to ensure availability
• All RTO must be provided at time of submission and no RTO will be approved after contract is signed
