Special Procedures Technologist in Dothan, AL

Join Southeast Health Medical Center as a Special Procedures Technologist in our Interventional Radiology and Neuro-Interventional program. You'll work Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM or 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with call coverage responsibilities of approximately 9 to 11 days per month. This 91-day assignment offers weekly pay of $3,342.

Your Responsibilities

• Function as a scrub, monitor, and fluoroscopy technologist in single- and biplane environments
• Provide technical assistance with sheath insertion, groin sealant, and stabilization for vascular surgery, interventional radiology, and neuro-endovascular procedures
• Assist with adult diagnostic angiography, minimly invasive guidewire and catheter-based procedures, and percutaneous biopsies
• Operate equipment in the interventional radiology, OR 28, and neuro-interventional suites
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Follow all radiation safety policies and procedures for patients, coworkers, and yourself
• Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary procedural team

Call Coverage

You'll provide neuro lab call coverage for approximately one week every four weeks, plus backup call coverage of 2 to 4 additional days per month. You must be able to report to the hospital within 30 minutes of notification.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved radiologic technology program recognized by the American Medical Association Council on Education, or credentialed through Cardiovascular Credentialing International as a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)
• ARRT (VI) certification
• BLS and ACLS certification
• Experience with vascular surgery, interventional radiology, and neuro-endovascular cases
