OR Registered Nurse Job in Omaha, NE

CHI Health Lakeside is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Operating Room in Omaha, Nebraska. This is a 91-day travel assignment starting September 28, 2026.

Schedule and Compensation

• Four 10-hour day shifts per week, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• Call requirements: 6–7 weeknight call shifts monthly, 2–3 weekend call shifts per 13-week contract, and at least 1 holiday call shift annually
• Weekly pay: $2,909
• Time off requests limited to 7 or fewer days per 13-week contract and must be submitted upfront

Role Responsibilities

• Float within the OR department as assigned by the OR supervisor
• Support a 6-suite OR averaging over 400 cases monthly
• Manage a mix of outpatient and inpatient procedures including orthopedics (total joints and sports medicine), general, OB/GYN, robotic, plastics, ENT, urology, hand, podiatry, and breast reconstructions
• Competencies required: total joints, robotics, general laparoscopic cases, urology, hand and foot, and breast cases including reconstructions
• Charting via EPIC

Orientation and Requirements

• 1–3 days of unit/department-specific orientation provided
• Pass/fail open book exam required during orientation; minimum passing score 90%
• Current BLS certification required
• BSN not required
• Scrubs provided by facility
• Artificial nails prohibited in all patient care departments
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility
• Valid driver's license required at time of application

The OR has dedicated technicians; charge nurse does not carry a patient assignment. Cases include both adults and pediatrics, with a focus on outpatient procedures.
