ICU RN Job in Charleston, SC

You will work as an RN in the ICU at Trident Regional Medical Center, a tertiary care facility in Charleston, South Carolina. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning July 20, 2026.

Schedule and Compensation

• 4 twelve-hour night shifts per week (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Weekly pay: $2,978.40

Clinical Responsibilities

• Care for 1 to 3 ICU patients per shift with patient ratios of 1:2 to 1:3
• Manage ventilator-dependent patients and perform advanced hemodynamic monitoring
• Administer CRRT, manage Swan Ganz catheters, Impellas, and balloon pumps
• Read telemetry strips and interpret cardiac rhythms
• Provide bedside shift reports for every patient transfer of care
• Administer breathing treatments including inhalers and nebulizers
• Care for post-operative day 0 CABG patients and those with fresh surgical interventions
• Support neuro ICU patients with aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage, external ventricular drains (EVDs), intracranial pressure bolts (Codman), and Arctic Sun experience with induced hypothermia protocols
• May float to emergency department or PCU for ICU holds and admission support

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license
• Minimum 36 months RN experience with at least one year in an ICU setting
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
• Proficiency with Meditech documentation system
• One previous successful travel nursing assignment preferred, especially with Meditech experience

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN degree
• Advanced certifications (CCRN or similar)
• TNCC certification

Facility Information

You will use i-mobile phones and mobile computer workstations on wheels for efficient bedside care. Navy uniform is required dress code.
