ICU Registered Nurse Job in Stockbridge, GA

Piedmont Henry Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for their 24-bed Intensive Care Unit. You will care for adult and geriatric patients with a patient ratio of 1:2–3, with the possibility of accepting a third patient as needed. The unit maintains an average daily census of 19 patients.

Position Details

• Shift: 3×12 nights
• Duration: 140 days
• Start date: November 9, 2026
• Weekly pay: $1,916
• License required: Georgia or Compact nursing license

Required Experience & Certifications

• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience; first-time travelers accepted
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certification required prior to start
• Orientation: 12 hours

Clinical Focus

You will manage patients with diagnoses including ARDS, sepsis, stroke, STEMI, DKA, post-op complications, cardiogenic shock, GIB, COPD exacerbation, encephalopathy, liver failure, drug overdose, and ESRD on CRRT. Required skills include ventilator management, central line and CVVHD/CRRT care, CVA/acute stroke management, high-flow nasal cannula support, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, post-cardiac and post-neurosurgery care, and ETT/NT suctioning.

Equipment & Systems

You will work with cardiac monitoring, BIS monitoring, Train of Four, Arctic Sun, FloTrac, and IABP. Unit systems include Pyxis, Epic, and SBAR documentation.

Support & Expectations

Interdisciplinary support includes IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, and Pharmacy. You will be expected to float within the facility as needed and comply with every-other-weekend scheduling. Scrub color is navy blue.

Time Off & Holiday Policy

Maximum 7 days of requested time off per contract; all requests must be finalized at time of submission. No time off is permitted during orientation week. If one or two major holidays fall within your assignment, you will work them. If three major holidays occur during your contract, you will work two of them. Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day.
