CVOR Technologist Job in Springfield, MO

Mercy Hospital Springfield is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to join the Cardiovascular Operating Room team on a 13-week travel assignment. You will work day shifts on a 3x12 schedule (6:30 AM to 7:00 PM), Friday through Sunday, with 36 guaranteed weekly hours and an average of 5 or fewer on-call duties per 8-week period.

Your Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care under surgeon and circulating nurse supervision
• Set up surgical cases across multiple specialty disciplines based on patient needs and surgeon preference
• Create and maintain a sterile field
• Perform instrument, sponge, and sharp counts
• Assist OR staff and manage 1:1 patient ratios
• Function as a resource for newly hired Surgical Technicians and visiting students
• Demonstrate proficiency with equipment including the DaVinci robotic system
• Work effectively in a fast-paced environment with occasional high-stress situations

Your Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technologist program
• One year or more of hospital-based Surgical Technologist experience
• Current BLS certification from American Heart Association
• Preferred: CORST licensure
• Preferred: Level 1 trauma experience with multiple years in the specialty
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, instruments, sets, and equipment

What to Know:

• Black scrubs required; jeans and unprofessional attire are not acceptable
• The facility uses EPIC electronic medical records
• You may be required to work varying schedules and days based on patient needs
• Highly motivated self-starter personality is preferred

Weekly pay is $1,971. Assignment begins August 3, 2026.
