CVOR First Assist Job in Atlanta, GA

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) for a travel position in their Operating Room. This is a day shift role with call requirements one day per week and one weekend every four weeks. Weekend coverage is required only during your assigned call periods.

Position Details:

• Schedule: 3x12 day shifts
• Duration: 112 days starting September 7, 2026
• Weekly pay: $2,669.76
• Patient ratio: 1:1 for all shifts
• Float within facility scope of practice and to Main OR as needed

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years experience; first-time travelers accepted
• Mandatory experience in cardiac, vascular, endovascular, and thoracic cases
• Current BLS certification
• CSFA certification (NBSTSA or NCCSA also accepted)
• Georgia or Compact nursing license required at time of submission
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Community hospital and trauma level experience preferred
• Heart transplant experience highly preferred

Pre-Assignment:

• Pre-application fee of $125 required for partner agency placements
• Privileging process must be completed prior to start (approximately 120 days from signature)
• Clinical screen and manager review process required
• All documents due Tuesday prior to start date for on-time placement
• Core items and labs must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
• Non-billable orientation modules completed during orientation
• RTO must be finalized at time of submission with maximum 7 days per contract

Full compliance with all documentation and credentialing requirements is necessary to start on schedule.
