Telemetry RN Job in Des Moines, IA

MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center is hiring a Registered Nurse for our Telemetry unit. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning October 19, 2026.

Shift and Schedule

• Work 12.5-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Three shifts per week
• Every other weekend schedule required
• Every other holiday schedule required

Role Responsibilities

You will provide direct patient care on our Telemetry unit while maintaining flexibility to float to other med-surg floors as needed. Your clinical focus will be telemetry monitoring and patient assessment in a collaborative hospital setting.

Float Assignments

You must be willing to float to all med-surg floors including Ortho, Med-Surg, Neurology Step Down, Oncology, Surgical Telemetry, and Med-Surg Tele. You may also be assigned to our West Lakes Campus location, situated 9.5 miles from downtown Des Moines.

Compensation

You will earn $2,259 per week for this assignment.

What We're Looking For

Current RN licensure in Iowa is required. You should be comfortable with cardiac monitoring, have solid assessment skills, and be prepared to work in a dynamic med-surg environment with the ability to transition between units.
