About this role

Sutter Health Mills-Peninsula Medical Center is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist for a 91-day travel assignment in Burlingame, California. You will work Wednesday through Sunday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, at $2,892.67 per week.

In this role, you will perform routine and specialized sonography procedures of moderate complexity to produce quality diagnostic images. You will work independently, exercising sound clinical judgment on challenging diagnostic procedures and delivering accurate results in a timely manner. You will gain the confidence and cooperation of patients, families, and healthcare providers through competent patient assessment and effective communication. You may also be responsible for performing specific procedures and orienting other staff to the department.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of recent relevant experience
  • Graduation from an accredited formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or possession of ARDMS credentials
  • Current ARDMS (American Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) certification
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider) certification
  • Two of the following certifications: AB (Abdomen), BR (Breast), FE (Fetal Echocardiography), OB/GYN (Obstetrics & Gynecology), PS (Pediatric Sonography), or RVT (Registered Vascular Technician)
  • Proficiency in sonographic examinations with solid understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
  • Working knowledge of computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite, RIS, LIS, EHR, EPIC, and PACS systems
  • Intermediate knowledge of diagnostic sonography principles, procedures, views, and equipment including experience responding to traumas and hospital emergencies
  • Strong time management and organizational skills with ability to prioritize assignments and meet deadlines
