Cath Lab Technologist Job in Kenner, LA

You will work as a Cath Lab Technologist at Ochsner Medical Center in Kenner, Louisiana, supporting diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. This is a 91-day travel position ideal for allied health professionals with cardiac catheterization experience.

Schedule and Location

• 5x8 Days: Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• On-call requirements on weekdays and weekends (approximately 12 on-call days per month, including 2 weekend days)
• No floating to other locations
• Travel start date: September 14, 2026

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in cardiac catheterization specialty
• Current ACLS, BLS, and ARRT (R) certifications required
• RCIS credential is not accepted in place of ARRT
• Must be located more than 65 miles from facility address (verified by driver's license)
• First-time travelers are accepted

Your Role

You will care for adult and geriatric patient populations with a patient ratio of 7. You will perform essential cath lab functions including equipment setup, sterile field maintenance, scrub assistance, and room circulation. Your responsibilities include supporting diagnostic catheterizations, left and right heart catheterizations, percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), cardiac stent placement, IABP placement and removal, temporary pacemaker insertion, and thrombectomy procedures.
