Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• 3 days worked per week
• Implement professional nursing practice centered on the patient as a whole person and the creation of a caring environment focused on healing and wellness
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments in accordance with RN scope of practice, considering patient culture, age, and developmental level
• Identify patient risk factors and presenting complaints while collecting objective and subjective data
• Develop and prioritize patient problem lists based on input from the inter-professional team
• Design and implement care actions and interventions relevant to patient culture and age
• Determine desired patient outcomes in coordination with patient and family in accordance with medical plan of care
• Explain procedures, treatments, and processes to patients and families
• Recognize, respond to, and communicate changes in patient condition appropriately
• Conduct and document ongoing assessments and responses to procedures and therapies using the nursing process
• Delegate tasks appropriately and oversee team members in the performance of patient care activities
• Identify and address educational needs of patients related to prioritized problems
• Facilitate patient discharge process including discharge teaching and coordination with Case Management
• Actively participate in unit-based quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction, patient falls, pressure ulcers, and CAUTIs monitoring
• Promote a positive group dynamic and healing environment through evidence-based nursing practice
