Opportunity:

RN - Oncology

Job Details:

• BMT Oncology unit with a 4:1 patient ratio for all shifts
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required throughout the Oncology department as needed; will be floated to unit with greatest need per shift
• Average daily census of 30 with 32 beds/rooms
• Patients are adults with diagnoses including BMT Oncology, Leukemia, Lymphoma, Myeloma, and management of complications from blood cancers such as GVHD
• Perform autologous stem cell transplants and chemotherapy administration
• Required skills include: administration of chemotherapy, accessing/managing ports, administration of blood and blood products, central line blood draw, central line/implanted line care, PICC line care, starting and maintaining IVs, antibiotics, antiemetics, foley catheter insertion/management, isolation precautions, telemetry interpretation, and telemetry monitoring
• Must pass Relias EKG exam - interpretation and management of dysrhythmias required
• Charting system: Epic (preferred experience)
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, Chemo Certification (ONS/ONCC)
• Minimum 1 year of oncology/chemo experience required
• First-time travelers will be accepted
