ICU Registered Nurse Job in Boise, ID

St Lukes Boise Medical Center is seeking an RN for a 91-day travel assignment in the Intensive Care Unit. You will work three 12-hour night shifts per week (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM), with weekend and holiday shifts filled based on facility need.

Role Details

• Float pool position across ICU units at three Boise-area facilities (Boise, Meridian, and Nampa—all approximately 20 minutes apart)
• Unit assignment provided via app 1 hour before shift start
• Mid-shift floating to different units and facilities possible; travelers are first to float
• No on-call or standby requirement
• No self-scheduling; block scheduling attempted but not guaranteed
• ICU nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:1–2
• Charge nurse available on all units with float pool assistant managers on call 24/7
• Nurse aides and patient care techs available at ratios of 1:8–10 depending on floor and day

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret telemetry and cardiac monitors in ICU setting
• Titrate drips and manage critical-care medications
• Provide direct patient care in a 1:1–2 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Chart using the EPIC system

Requirements

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2 years of experience in ICU specialty
• Previous travel nursing experience
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• BSN not required
