Electrophysiology Lab RN Job in San Antonio, TX

You'll work as an RN in the Cath Lab and Electrophysiology Lab at Methodist Hospital Texsan in San Antonio, TX. This is a 13-week contract position with a 4x10 day shift schedule, working 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, earning $2,536 per week.

Your Role

You'll provide nursing care in a CCL/EP Lab setting with a 1:1 patient ratio. You'll monitor Afib/Aflutter ablation cases independently and scrub procedures including Afib/Aflutter ablations, permanent pacemakers (PPM), Watchman, LHC, CHC, PCI, Impellas, balloon pumps, peripheral cases, thrombectomies, and IR procedures such as percutaneous catheters and PEG tube placements.

You'll float between the EP Lab and Cath Lab as needed, operating Siemens and Philips imaging equipment and documenting in Meditech, Cardio Lab, and Mac Lab systems. The facility provides scrubs.

Requirements and Flexibility

• Current RN license
• RCIS, RCES, ACLS, and BLS certifications required
• CCL and EP skills preferred with ability to work both sides
• If working EP only: take call 2 weekends per month and remain flexible to stay late during the week
• If working CCL only: live within 30 minutes of the hospital and take 11 days of call per month
• Notify the hospital a minimum of 2 hours before your shift start if unable to attend

The schedule offers flexibility between 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts within lab hours of 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM, though your contracted shift is 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM on a 4x10 basis.
