ICU RN Job in Centennial, CO

Opportunity:

RN - ICU Float Pool

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• 6-9 weekend shifts required in a 6-week schedule
• Must float within Zone 3 covering a 60-mile radius from Denver City Center
• Float between OrthoColorado Hospital, Longmont United Hospital, St. Anthony Hospital, and St. Anthony North Hospital
• No home base facility - must be within 60 miles of each facility listed
• May be asked to float to any acuity level including ICU, PCU/Stepdown, and MS-Tele
• Schedules released 4-6 weeks in advance with two scheduling options: scheduled at single facility for the week or Just-In-Time assignment 1-2 hours before shift start
• Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1-2 dependent on acuity, may flex up to 1:3
• 1:1 ratio for high acuity patients requiring CRRT, IABP, Impella, etc.
• Must have 2 years of ICU experience (3+ years if first-time traveler)
• Must be comfortable titrating all critical drips including pressors, sedation, paralytics, antiarrhythmics, heparin, and insulin
• Required to read and interpret own telemetry strips
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Any color scrubs allowed
• 1-2 days orientation with preceptor
• May be placed in holiday rotation
• Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
