ICU - Intensive Care Unit

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 9-week contract length
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Float between MedSurg ICU and Neuro ICU units with possible float to other critical care and inpatient units as needed
• On-call shifts are permitted but not required; 1-hour response time if picking up call
• Contract eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours; unit may low census in 4-hour increments
• Primary patient ratio of 2:1
• 16-bed Medical-Surgical ICU unit; Level 2 trauma facility
• Primary case types include stroke care, cerebral monitoring and drains, vents, drips, chest tubes, spinal drains, JPs, and some CRRT patients
• May encounter logging accidents, motorcycle accidents, and snowmobile accidents depending on season
• Clinical lead on-site 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, 7 days per week; CNAs and LPNs available to assist RNs
• Minimum 2 years of MedSurg and ICU experience required; strong Neuro experience required
• Required certifications: WI RN License, BLS, NIHSS, and ACLS
• CCRN preferred but not required
• EPIC charting experience preferred
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
