Cardiac Cath Lab RN Job in Chesapeake, VA

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Cath Lab at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center in Chesapeake, VA. This is a travel assignment lasting 91 days, beginning October 26, 2026. You will receive $3,202 per week.

Schedule and Responsibilities

• Work 5 days per week on 8-hour day shifts, with shift times between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM
• Rotating weekday, weekend, and holiday call required (approximately 10–14 days per month)
• May rotate to other cardiovascular departments including Electrophysiology, Cath, or Cath Holding
• Perform minimally invasive cardiac procedures in a full-service cardiovascular program with electrophysiology services
• Treat adult and geriatric patient populations

Required Experience and Credentials

• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab RN experience
• Critical Care (ICU), Cardiac Care (CC), or Emergency Department (ED) experience required
• Active Virginia RN license or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• EPIC proficiency required

Key Clinical Skills

• Cardiac catheterization and right and left heart catheterization
• Electrophysiology lab procedures and pacemaker insertion
• Percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI)
• IABP placement and removal, and Impella insertion
• Procedural sedation administration and monitoring
• Transesophageal echocardiogram (TEE)
• Vascular closure systems and sheath removal with monitoring
• Activated clotting time (ACT), 12-lead EKG, IV vasopressors, cardioversion, antiarrhythmics, and antihypertensives
