Physical Therapist Outpatient Job in Tawas City, MI

MyMichigan Health - Tawas is seeking a Physical Therapist for an outpatient position. You will work days on a 5x8 schedule with no weekend shifts or on-call requirements. This is a 91-day assignment starting October 12, 2026, with weekly pay of $2,931.

Your responsibilities include:

• Provide primarily outpatient physical therapy services with some acute care responsibilities
• Evaluate patient function through formal and informal testing to assess skeletal, neurological, respiratory, and cardiovascular status
• Develop and implement goal-specific treatment regimens based on assessment data and patient tolerance
• Submit written treatment regimens as part of the physician-authorized plan of care and update as needed to reflect changes in patient status
• Co-sign verbal orders received by physical therapist assistants as necessary
• Devise frequency and duration-specific treatment schedules coordinated with patients, families, caregivers, and clinical support staff
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding pathology, condition, alternatives, prognosis, and treatment rationale
• Delegate appropriate responsibilities to Physical Therapist Assistants and Aides

Requirements:

• Active Michigan Physical Therapist License required
• Outpatient physical therapy experience required
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• Skills checklist current within one year pertinent to physical therapy required
• Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years required
