ICU - Intensive Care Unit

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• 13-week night shift contract position
• Patient ratio of 1:2 for days, nights, and weekends
• Weekend coverage required
• Will not typically float out of the ICU
• Care for adult patients with diagnoses including alcohol withdrawal, acute respiratory distress, COPD, GI bleed, drug overdose, and occasional surgical cases such as VATS
• ICU serves as the code team and rapid response team
• Intensivists available during day shift; NPs available during night shift
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Travel experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• CERNER experience preferred but not required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CCRN
• Required skills: Interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring, continuous IV sedation, procedural sedation administration and monitoring
• Massachusetts nursing license required and must be in hand at time of submission
