Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• 12-hour night shifts
• 36-hour weekly guarantee with up to 3 cancellations per 13-week contract
• Work on a 24-bed Med Surg unit with telemetry capability on all beds - heavy telemetry focus
• Care for adult patients; pediatric patients are assigned to permanent staff only
• Must have strong Neuro and Cardiac skills
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:5 days, 1:6 nights (based on level of acuity)
• Float to all Med Surg units and ICU to assist with Med Surg overflow patients
• Charting system: Allscripts Sunrise EMR
• Support staff on unit includes Tele techs, charge nurse, HUCs, and PCTs
• Hospitalist in house 24/7, Respiratory Therapist 24/7, and Pharmacy 24/7
• No IV team on unit
• 2 years of experience required
• BSN not required
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS
• PALS preferred
• Scrub color: any color except all black; scrubs not provided
• Acute care setting, Trauma Level 3 facility
