Opportunity:

RN - Tele Float Pool

Job Details:

• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 4 weekend shifts per schedule (Saturday/Sunday) required
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
• First to float between all Telemetry and MedSurg units
• Floating required between Chandler and Mercy Gilbert campuses (9 miles apart); notification of campus and unit given 1.5 hours prior to shift start
• Floating to different units mid-shift can happen; rare to float to another campus within a single shift, but possible
• Must clock out when leaving one campus and clock in upon arrival at the other campus
• Must be able to titrate cardiac drips
• Must be able to interpret EKGs; centralized telemetry monitoring
• Patient ratios of 1:3-4 on Tele units and 1:4 on MedSurg units
• Scrub color: Navy
• Charting system: Cerner
• Trauma Level 1, Acute Care setting
• Must pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to contract signing (maximum 2 attempts, within 48 hours of offer)
• Must pass a pass/fail Sim Lab on day one of orientation
• Float pool coverage includes the following units:
   - CV Tele B3A (32 beds): Post cath lab, post vascular procedures, day 2 CABG, general tele; patients 15 years and older
   - Neuro A3 (28 beds): Neuro post surgical, post cranis, spine, CVAs post TPA; no ICP monitoring
   - MedSurg C5 (32 beds): 80% surgical, 20% oncology; ortho including elective knee/hip procedures, urological, abdominal, and women's surgeries
   - MedSurg B2C (29 beds): General MedSurg patients requiring telemetry
• RT available 24/7 and Pharmacy available 24/7 across units
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), NIHSS
