ICU - Intensive Care Unit

Job Details:

• Day shift position working 12-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM
• 13-week contract duration
• Floating to ER and Med Surg departments is required
• No on-call required
• Holidays required
• 48 guaranteed hours are NOT approved
• Blocked scheduling may be accommodated and must be included in the body of submittal
• Unit consists of 12 beds with a patient ratio of 1:2-3
• Provide total ICU patient care including ventilator management, titratable drips, and hygiene care
• When floating to ER, responsibilities include answering call lights, passing medications, transporting patients, starting IVs, and drawing blood
• When floating to Med Surg, expected to take a full patient assignment of up to 6 patients or act as an aide for up to 12 patients
• 2+ years of ICU experience required
• ER and Med Surg experience required
• Experience with vents, titratable drips, mixing medications, and patient hygiene preferred
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• TNCC preferred
• EMR system: MedHost
