Special Procedures Technologist Job in Rochester, NY

URMC Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY is seeking an Allied Health Professional to work as a Special Procedures Technologist in our Interventional Radiology department. This is a local position for candidates in the area.

Position Details

• 5x8-hour day shifts with on-call, callback, and holiday coverage as needed by the unit
• On-call requirement of 5–7 call shifts per 7-week block, with 2–4 weekend call days included
• 89-day contract duration; 6-month contract candidates will be considered
• Weekly pay: $2,957

Your Responsibilities

• Instruct and prepare patients for examinations and assist the Radiologist during procedures
• Select exposure factors, position patients, and produce diagnostic-quality radiologic images
• Operate all department equipment proficiently and report malfunctions to your manager or lead
• Complete assigned procedures in a timely manner and assist with room turnover between cases
• Demonstrate competency with Hospital Information System (HIS), Radiology Information System (RIS), and PACS
• Maintain medication security and restrict access to authorized personnel only
• Provide healthcare services to all age groups
• Answer telephone inquiries of a technical nature from physicians and hospital personnel

Required Qualifications

• 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience
• ARRT certification
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
• NYS license required or ability to obtain prior to start date
• Local candidates preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• VIR certification
