Certified Surgical Technologist Job in Wausau, WI

Aspirus Wausau Hospital is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to join their 21-operating room surgical services department. You will work day shifts with weekend on-call availability in a high-volume facility that averages 40–60 surgical cases daily.

Your Responsibilities:

• Set up operative suites and prepare case carts to ensure all supplies are available before procedures
• Scrub surgical cases across multiple specialties and manage room turnover for consecutive procedures
• Provide scrub support for complex cases in orthopedics, neurosurgery, and spine surgery, including complex spine procedures, neurological cases, and craniotomies
• Assist with general surgery, gynecology, urology, plastics, ENT, and gastrointestinal cases as needed
• Support downtime tasks and help train new team members when needed

Requirements:

• Minimum 4 or more years of operating room experience as a surgical technologist
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential via NBSTSA or NCCT
• Prior travel healthcare assignment experience
• Trauma Level II facility experience required
• Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program
• BLS certification and AHA or ARC certification required
• Strong proficiency in orthopedic, neurological, and spine procedures, particularly total joint replacements and complex spine cases
• Personal vehicle required due to on-call responsibilities (30-minute response time)

Assignment Details:

• 13-week contract beginning November 9, 2026
• 5×8 day shifts with guaranteed 40 hours per week
• On-call requirements: 6–8 weeknight calls and 1–2 weekend calls during the contract
• Holiday rotation required as scheduled
• Weekly pay: $2,322
• May float to additional locations as needed
