ICU - Intensive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• 3x12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• On-call required: at least 2 shifts per 6 weeks
• Patient ratios of 1:2 with occasional 1:3
• 10-bed low/moderate acuity ICU serving medical, surgical, and cardiac patient populations
• Patients include adults and geriatrics
• May be floated to other units within the Midlands Division based on facility needs
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• Block schedule requests can be submitted for approval prior to assignment but are not guaranteed
• 1 year of ICU experience required
• Patient ratio experience of 2:3 required
• South Carolina RN license or Compact license required and must be in hand prior to start
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Preferred certification: CCRN
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Scrub color: Royal Blue

• Required skills include: arterial line management, care of ventilated patients, central line care and management, continuous IV sedation, CVA/acute stroke management, interpretation of arterial blood gases, management of dysrhythmias, titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, ventilator management, blood product administration, PICC line management, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, suctioning, and additional ICU-level competencies
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and phlebotomy
