CVOR RN Job in Charleston, SC

You will work as a Circulating RN in the Cardiovascular Operating Room at Trident Regional Medical Center, a 703-bed facility in Charleston, South Carolina. This is a 91-day travel assignment on a 4x10 day shift schedule, running 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with on-call responsibilities included.

Your Role

You will circulate cases in a specialized cardiac and vascular surgery environment. Each OR room operates with a 1:1 patient ratio—one RN and one CST per room. You will work alongside turnover staff, a charge RN, and anesthesia coverage (4:1 ratio with in-house night shift support). The schedule includes every other weekend and holiday rotations, plus 3 call shifts (12-hour) per 4-week period, with both day and night availability.

Required Experience and Skills

• Thoracic and vascular surgery experience required, including heart and valve replacements
• Strong proficiency in cardiac (CV/PV), AAA, Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG), Fem-Pop Bypass, and Mitral or Aortic Valve Replacement
• General circulating knowledge across Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Plastics, Vascular, Trauma, and Robotic OB/GYN and Urology
• Experience with XI Robot, advanced spine, and Mako joint robot preferred

Additional Requirements

• Required certifications: BLS and RN licensure
• No floating policy—you stay in CVOR
• Familiarity with Meditech documentation system
• Competency with AIDET (patient experience standards)
• Hospital-provided scrubs required
