CT Technologist - CT Tech

Job Details:

• Operate computed tomography (CT) equipment to process cross-sectional images of patient's body for diagnostic purposes
• Perform diagnostic CT examinations according to department policies and protocols
• Screen, prepare, and position patients for CT procedures based on diagnoses and body part
• Evaluate CT studies for quality and completeness
• Utilize advanced image manipulations including 3D rendering, reformation, and reconstruction
• Recognize and rectify CT imaging and filming problems
• Send images to PACS system, evaluate exams for completeness, and verify exams in a timely manner
• Maintain accurate documentation on logbook worksheets and charge examination and supplies accordingly
• Administer contrast media as directed by Radiologist
• Maintain radiation safety for patients, staff, and family members
• Communicate clearly with patients, explaining procedures in a concise manner to minimize anxiety
• Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, staff, and customers via telephone or face-to-face interaction
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Experience with large volume department and Level 1 Trauma required
• Experience with Epic and GE equipment required
• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology required
• Ability to organize and prioritize work in an effective and efficient manner
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program required
• Registration from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R) required
• BLS certification required
• Proficiency with Radiology PACS preferred
• Strong communication, organization, and cross-team collaboration skills preferred
