Respiratory Therapist Job in Hilo, HI

Hilo Medical Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a 15-week travel assignment beginning August 3, 2026. You will work three 12-hour day shifts per week (6:30 AM to 7:00 PM) on a schedule with no guaranteed hours.

Your Responsibilities:

• Provide continuous airway management for patients across adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations
• Perform ventilator and non-invasive ventilator management and support
• Assist with physician consulting and CPR procedures
• Manage all aspects of respiratory care delivery
• Utilize computerized charting, Pyxis medication management, and specialized equipment including PB 980 and PB 840 Ventilators, V60, and Para Pac Transport Vent

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
• Active Hawaii state respiratory therapist license required by assignment start date (current Hawaii license preferred; candidates with submitted applications will be considered)
• Current certifications: RRT, BLS, and ACLS
• PALS certification required; NRP preferred
• No first assignments accepted

Compensation and Duration:

You will earn $2,181.24 per week. The assignment runs for 105 days (15 weeks). This is a travel position, so you will need to arrange your own housing or utilize housing stipends if available through the staffing agency.
