Job Details:

• Alternating hours, primarily Monday through Friday with potential night and weekend hours to care for ECMO patients
• Weekly guaranteed hours of 30 to 40 hours per week
• Weekend shift hours vary as needed
• Float requirements to Lafayette East Campus
• No current call requirements
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Required certifications: CCP and ACLS
• Bachelor's Degree in Cardiovascular Perfusion Science required; Master's Degree preferred
• Perform routine maintenance on all perfusion-related equipment
• Operate autotransfusion devices to minimize total blood loss during cardiac and other operations
• Assemble and operate extra-corporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) and ventricular assist devices (VAD)
• Apply extra-corporeal circulation to support vascular procedures
• Conduct cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) safely and effectively to minimize risks associated with extracorporeal circulation
• Perform point-of-care (POC) testing and interpret results to guide conduct of CPB
• Support cardiovascular perfusion throughout the Central and Western Indiana territory
• Must be able to run perfusion-related equipment
• Must be easy-going, flexible, and able to work under pressure
