<p><strong>RN Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>RN - OR</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Provide patient care through comprehensive nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation<br>• Direct and coordinate nursing care for patients based on established nursing practice standards<br>• Care for patients from birth to elderly during pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative phases<br>• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver quality, cost-effective and efficient patient care<br>• Apply age-specific considerations and cultural diversity when providing patient care<br>• Serve as resource person when situations require specialized knowledge<br>• Minimum 1-2 years of OR experience required<br>• Associate Degree in Nursing required, BSN preferred<br>• Must be licensed in good standing as Registered Professional Nurse in Alaska<br>• Current BLS & ACLS required, PALS preferred<br>• National Certification in Surgery/PACU preferred<br>• Knowledge of AORN standards required<br>• Must demonstrate proficient oral and written communication skills<br>• Ability to work flexible schedule and take independent actions within prescribed limits<br>• Required to pass and maintain competencies for position<br>• Work with medical equipment including cardiac monitors and autoclave systems<br>• Supervisory responsibilities for administrative assistants, schedulers, and CSR technicians in collaboration with Charge Nurse</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This healthcare corporation serves as a comprehensive medical facility providing surgical and perioperative care services.
