Oncology RN Job in Gilbert, AZ

You will provide direct patient care to oncology patients at Banner Gateway Medical Center in Gilbert, Arizona. This role offers a 3x12 night shift schedule on the PCU (Progressive Care Unit) with an oncology focus. The assignment runs for 90 days, beginning November 2, 2026.

About the Role

As an RN, you will assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care aligned with professional nursing practice standards. Your responsibilities include conducting thorough patient assessments across physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, and cultural dimensions. You will review patient histories, diagnostics, and laboratory data, reporting abnormal findings to physicians and appropriate caregivers.

You will formulate and implement individualized care plans based on patient-specific needs and medical directives. You will coordinate, delegate, and supervise healthcare team activities to execute these plans effectively. Part of your role includes evaluating patient and family responses to care and teaching, then revising care plans as needed. Accurate and timely documentation in the patient record is essential.

You will provide evidence-based care and contribute to shared leadership initiatives. As appropriate, you will precept and mentor facility personnel, patients, students, families, and visitors. Active participation in improving national nursing quality indicators and outcomes is expected.

Requirements

• Current Arizona RN license
• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience
• PCU with oncology experience required
• Chemotherapy certification required
• BLS certification required

Compensation

Weekly pay is $2,446.20.
