Oncology RN Job in Gilbert, Arizona

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Registered Nurse for an 89-day travel assignment in Oncology at Banner Gateway Medical Center in Gilbert, Arizona. You will work a 3x12 day shift schedule and earn $2,434 weekly.

About the Role

You will deliver direct patient care to oncology patients, including those receiving chemotherapy. Your responsibilities include:

• Assessing patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs
• Formulating and implementing individualized plans of care based on patient-specific needs and medical directives
• Coordinating, delegating, and supervising health care team activities to implement patient care plans
• Evaluating patient and family response to care and teaching, revising care plans as needed
• Documenting assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation accurately and in a timely manner
• Providing care based on best available evidence and participating in shared leadership activities

Requirements

• Current, valid RN license in Arizona
• BLS certification
• Minimum one year of acute care hospital experience
• PCU experience required
• Oncology training and experience required
• Chemotherapy certification required
• Recent acute care experience within the past 12 months as an RN in the specialty area
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification preferred

Physical Requirements

You must be able to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently. You may be required to lift up to 75 pounds. Standard precautions apply due to potential exposure to blood and bodily fluids.
