Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Day/Evening patient ratios are 5:1 (with potential stretch to 6-7:1)
• Night patient ratios are expected to be 6-7:1 (with potential stretch to 8-10:1 if staff calls in)
• PCTs available on all units to assist with vital signs, blood glucose checks, EKGs, and activities of daily living
• Every other weekend requirement
• No on-call required
• Floating within scope to meet facility needs is required
• Block scheduling will be attempted but is not guaranteed
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience required
• Epic charting experience is a hard requirement
• Scrub color: Any combination of navy and white
• NY nursing license required in hand at time of submission
• Candidates within 75 miles of facility are not accepted
• No more than 1 week of RTO per contract
• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS
• Mandatory phlebotomy competency and IV placement skills required
• Required skills: MS/Tele, interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, use of Rapid Response Teams, peripheral line care/management, nasal cannula, oxygen face masks, portable oxygen tank, non-invasive airway management, and isolation precautions/PPE
• Patient population: Adults and Geriatrics on a Cardiac Unit
• 19-bed unit with interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
