OR Registered Nurse Job in Ranson, WV

WVU Jefferson Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Operating Room in Ranson, WV. You'll work a 4x10 rotating schedule, typically Monday through Friday from 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM, with call coverage required approximately 3-4 times per month. Weekend call rotation occurs every 6-7 weeks, covering Friday through Sunday. A 30-minute response time is required when on call.

The OR operates 4 rooms—3 OR suites and 1 procedure room—with all patients flowing through the same PreOp area. You'll maintain a 1:1 patient ratio, typically working alongside 2 OR Techs per room. Case volume varies: 20-22 cases on Tuesday and Thursday, and 6-14 cases on other weekdays. Common procedures include total joints, sports medicine, arthroscopies, ORIF, ACL repairs, carpal tunnel, cataract surgeries, bowel resections, scopes, EGDs, gallbladder, appendectomies, breast procedures, C-sections, hysterectomies, urology, and plastics. The facility uses ROSA robot technology for joint procedures, operated by representatives.

Role Details:

• Scrubbing is not required for RNs
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• Charting system: EPIC
• 3-shift orientation with a preceptor following general hospital orientation
• Travelers do not float to other units
• Cancellation policy allows 2 shifts per 13-week contract

Requirements:

• Valid RN license
• ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), and PALS (AHA) certifications
• Prior travel experience preferred; first-time travelers with strong OR experience considered
• BSN not required

Compensation & Duration: Weekly pay is $2,787. This is a 91-day assignment beginning October 20, 2026. The OR is closed on holidays and weekends except for call coverage, and holidays are covered by call rotation.
