OR Registered Nurse Job in Martinsburg, WV

WVU Berkeley Medical Center is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room in Martinsburg, WV. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning August 31, 2026, with a weekly pay of $2,741.

Schedule: Primary schedule is 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Varied shift options are available, including 8-, 10-, and 12-hour shifts with start times ranging from 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM. You will have one weeknight on-call rotation per week (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM) and one weekend 24-hour on-call shift per month (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM). Call response time must be within 30 minutes; if you are more than 30 minutes away while on call, you are required to stay on-site. Holiday call rotation applies as needed.

Facility Overview: The OR operates 9 ORs, 1 procedure room, and 1 hybrid room, handling 35–45 cases daily. You will float to outpatient surgery as needed. No self-scheduling for travelers; block scheduling may be accommodated if it meets unit needs.

Case Types: Common procedures include general surgery, ENT, eyes, orthopedic, robotics (DaVinci and Rosa), neuro spine, vascular, trauma, and select pediatric cases.

Required Experience and Skills:

• 2–3 years of OR specialty experience required
• 2–3 previous travel assignments required
• Robotics experience required; must be able to pass arms in and out for robotic procedures
• Orthopedic experience required
• Experience with all OR specialties, particularly for evening and night shifts where you will be the only RN working alongside 2 techs
• EPIC experience required
• Scrubbing is preferred but not required

Certifications: ACLS (AHA) and BLS (AHA) required; PALS preferred. Active state license required.

Orientation: 3 shifts over 1 week. OR techs are responsible for room turnover. Scrubs are provided for RNs and OR Techs. BSN is not required.
