Opportunity:

Sonographer - OB/GYN

Job Details:

• Positions are primarily Monday through Friday, four 10-hour shifts, with hours ranging from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM or 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• OGES coverage shifts available from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM or 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, any day of the week
• Possible weekend shifts required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Travel between multiple locations including Central location in the Wish Tower, OGES location in the main hospital, and 8 clinic locations
• Operate ultrasound equipment to produce diagnostic scans and ensure optimal patient care
• Evaluate and verify image quality according to established standards to ensure quality control protocol
• Review and interpret intermediate and complex exams with attending physician to determine if additional procedures are required
• Identify and distinguish appropriate modality of cardiac ultrasound including motion mode, Doppler, two dimensional, and color flow
• Maintain and perform intermediate troubleshooting of ultrasound equipment
• Inspect, clean, and prepare exam rooms after each patient to ensure efficiency of patient flow
• Complete, log, and distribute billing reports to ensure accuracy of patient charges
• Participate in research studies regarding intermediate sonographic procedures with other medical staff
• Minimum 1.5 years of experience in Sonography working OB/GYN cases required
• Hospital experience or Women, Baby, and Birth center experience required
• Previous travel experience preferred
• Required certifications: ARDMS or ARRT (OB/GYN)(S) discipline, Fetal Echo Certification, and BLS (AHA)
• Skills checklist specific to the discipline required
• 2 supervisory references from within the last year required
