PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - PCU

Job Details:

• Varied work schedule
• Float between overflow areas and other Adult Health units serving Medical-Surgical, PCU, or IMC patients
• Possibility of floating to South Campus
• Level I Trauma and large hospital experience preferred
• Previous travel experience required for consideration
• Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs
• Review patient history and diagnostics, report abnormal laboratory results to physicians and appropriate caregivers
• Formulate and implement individualized plans of care in collaboration with multidisciplinary team members
• Delegate and supervise activities of health care team members including licensed and non-licensed personnel
• Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching, revising plan of care as needed
• Maintain timely, accurate, and legible documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient responses in patient records
• Participate in unit or facility shared leadership, precepting, and mentoring when appropriate
• Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice or compact RN licensure
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of one year experience in an acute care hospital setting required
• Experience must include working in an acute care setting within the past 12 months as a Registered Nurse in the specialty area
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds and meet physical demands of direct patient care environment
• Bachelor's degree and professional certification preferred
